Biden’s Communication Failures and Democratic Party’s Self-Destruction

Mounting challenges: illegal immigration, inflation, homelessness, and social unrest

The U.S. Supreme Court has deferred to lower courts the decision on whether former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results are protected by executive immunity.

On July 1, the Supreme Court ruled that while presidents have absolute immunity for official acts during their term, this doesn’t extend to unofficial actions. The Court directed lower courts to determine how this principle applies to Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the election.

This development makes it less likely that Trump’s trial and verdict on election interference charges will conclude before the November 5 election.

The Supreme Court’s ruling is seen as a win for Trump. Coming amid calls for the Democratic Party to replace their candidate following Biden’s poor debate performance on June27, this decision is a major boost for Trump’s campaign.

First Lady Jill Biden, seemingly out of touch with the situation, firmly rejected mounting calls for the President’s withdrawal from the race after his debate defeat. She stated, “We will keep fighting,” adding that “President Biden will always do what’s best for the country.”

The Democratic Party finds itself in a dilemma, unable to replace their candidate unless Biden voluntarily steps down. Even if he did, the ensuing chaos of a candidate switch and financial issues make victory uncertain for any replacement.

Trump now occupies an advantageous position, likely to win against any opponent. The Democrats’ worst-case scenario is being forced to run with Biden while knowing they might lose not only the presidency but also control of both the Senate and House.

Trump’s unprecedented second chance as U.S. President seems increasingly possible. If he achieves this historic feat, it will largely be due to Biden and the Democratic Party’s missteps.
