A shocking incident of racial violence has come to light at Larchmont Charter School, where two Korean-American elementary students were reportedly assaulted by a group of white students. The attack, which took place on September 19th, has left the victims with physical injuries and severe psychological trauma.

According to the father of one victim, identified as Mr. Jung, six white students cornered the two Korean-American children during recess. The aggressors trapped the victims inside a hula hoop, punching them before forcing them to the ground, choking them, and stomping on them. Witnesses reported hearing the attackers shout, “They can’t speak English, someone needs to translate,” while encouraging other students to join in with calls of “Help me!”

The 20-minute ordeal went unnoticed by school staff, leaving the victims vulnerable and terrified. Mr. Jung described the aftermath: “My son now wakes up at night, sitting in a daze. He’s too scared to go near the school.” The other victim reportedly sweats profusely from anxiety and is afraid to use the bathroom alone.

Despite the severity of the incident, parents claim the school has shown little concern. “The school hasn’t once inquired about the children’s well-being since the attack,” Mr. Jung stated. He added that the administration is downplaying the event as a mere “fight” between students.

When confronted, school officials reportedly dismissed calls for punishment, asking, “What kind of punishment do you want for 6-year-olds?” They also refused requests to separate the victims from their attackers, insisting they continue to share a classroom.

This is not an isolated incident. Another Korean-American student had previously experienced bullying from the same group, but the school ignored pleas to place them in different classes.

The victims’ families are devastated. “Our lives have been destroyed. We’re fighting to ensure no other Asian student becomes a victim,” Mr. Jung declared, vowing to pursue justice while keeping his child enrolled at the school.

This disturbing event raises serious questions about racial discrimination in educational institutions and the responsibility of schools to protect all students, regardless of their ethnic background.
