Yesterday around 5 PM, a fierce altercation broke out among passengers on a Metro bus at the bustling intersection of Wilshire and Western in the heart of Koreatown. The fight spilled onto the bus stop, turning the area into chaos within moments.
This location, home to both Metro bus and subway stations, is one of the busiest in Koreatown. It’s also notorious for attracting drug addicts and mentally unstable individuals.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene. One person was severely injured in the brawl and taken away by ambulance. It’s unclear if any arrests were made.
Despite being a central hub in Koreatown and an accident-prone area, local police and city council offices have not given it special attention, leaving it perpetually at risk for incidents.
