“Recently, a surveillance camera hidden by a burglary gang in the front yard of a residential area in Southern California was discovered, prompting the police to issue a warning to residents to check for hidden cameras around their homes. Last Friday, a homeowner in Calabasas found a camera and battery pack in their yard and reported it to the police. Following this, the LA County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning to residents yesterday (28th).

In Orange County’s Garden Grove, an unidentified surveillance camera hidden in the front yard of a residential area was also recently discovered.

The police are reporting that the cameras were hidden in the yards of targeted homes to monitor when to break in. The burglars would wait for the homeowners to leave and then commit their crimes.

A homeowner in the Garden Grove area went to clean up what looked like trash in the bushes in front of their house and discovered a camera and battery pack.

The camera found in the bushes around the house was cleverly hidden so as not to be noticeable. Residents are worried as it is unknown how long it had been hidden there and who had placed it.

Last week, a four-member burglary gang of Colombian nationality was arrested in the Glendale area. Residents are suspecting that the hidden surveillance cameras in their front yards might be the work of this South American burglary gang.

The police believe there is a high possibility that it is the work of the South American burglary gang and have urged residents to be extra cautious.

They have also advised residents to regularly check around their homes for any unidentified camera devices.”
